Crisil. Aware economy stage reports shock David Rosenberg: Canada's menacing mortgage math means crisis looming
The macroeconomic math relating to Canada’s looming wall of mortgage renewals should be terrifying for the Bank of Canada. A large increase in average monthly mortgage payments will arise from the nearly $1 trillion in renewals due by 2026, triggering, in turn, a large demand shock and putting stress on the housing market in particular and the economy in general. The central bank will need to ease aggressively before the shock strikes to avoid turning a slowdown into a crisis, positioning Government of Canada bonds for outperformance in 2024.

Man ICE Death hospital reports shock hockey Adam Johnson cause of death: What happened to ice hockey player?
Adam Johnson's death in England has shocked everyone and now a man has been apprehended by the police in connection with the incident. The individual in custody faces charges of suspicion of manslaughter. However, the identity has not yet been disclosed. The arrest follows an investigation by South Yorkshire Police into the circumstances surrounding 29-year-old Johnson's death on October 31, characterized as a «freak accident» by the Nottingham Panthers. Johnson, a player for the Panthers, tragically lost his life when his neck was cut by the skate blade of Matt Petgrave from the Sheffield Steelers during an on-ice collision. Following the incident, Johnson was rushed to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield by ambulance, where he was declared dead, as stated in the Sheffield coroner’s report. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Johnson's cause of death was a neck injury, according to the police. This unfortunate incident has prompted increased scrutiny of player safety in the sport. In response, the English Ice Hockey Association has mandated the use of neck guards for all players during on-ice activities, starting from December 31. Adam Johnson hailed from Minnesota and had a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Last week, public and private memorials were held for Johnson in Hibbing, Minn., with a heartfelt eulogy shared by his fiancee, Ryan Wolfe.

Waves Compilation economy pandemic Actor reports shock Shipping shifts from jackpot to job cuts after $364 billion boom
That’s because the container shipping industry, cast as the Grinch that spoiled Christmas over the past two years with record-high freight rates and slow deliveries, is returning to its pre-pandemic place in the corporate world: perennial underachiever Charlie Brown. The biggest carriers posted net income totaling $364 billion in 2021 and 2022, according to figures compiled by industry veteran John McCown, after a decade of scant profits. They’ll likely drift back into the red this quarter as the rates they charge fall below costs and look to stay there for the foreseeable future. Booms-turned-busts have been more abrupt and sensational, but rarely has an established industry so tied to the global economy lurched from historic profits to below break-even levels more directly than the shipping lines that move 80% of the world’s merchandise trade have this year.

Action Fighting show country shock Ex-PM Cameron makes shock return to UK government; Here's all you need to know
David Cameron sensationally returned to the British government as foreign secretary on Monday, as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak shook up his top team with a general election looming next year. Cameron's comeback from the political wilderness came as Sunak sacked right-wing firebrand Suella Braverman as interior minister to assert his authority over the Conservative party, which trail the Labour opposition in polls. James Cleverly moved from the foreign ministry to succeed Braverman after critics accused her of heightening tensions during weeks of contentious pro-Palestinian demonstrations and counter-protests. Cameron quit as prime minister in 2016 after losing the Brexit referendum, standing down as an MP that year, before later becoming mired in a lobbying scandal that was seen as tarnishing his reputation. The former leader, whose foreign policy record as prime minister is viewed as chequered at best, said he «gladly accepted» his new role as Britain faced «a daunting set of international challenges». «While I have been out of front-line politics for the last seven years, I hope that my experience — as Conservative leader for 11 years and prime minister for six — will assist me in helping the prime minister to meet these vital challenges,» Cameron added, citing the Israel-Hamas war and Russia's conflict in Ukraine. Cameron will be made a life peer in the House of Lords — Britain's unelected upper chamber of parliament — Downing Street announced, making him eligible to sit in government. The last lord as foreign secretary was Peter Carrington, who quit Margaret Thatcher's government after Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands in 1982. Cameron was instrumental in leading western countries' intervention in Libya in
