"Rahul Gandhi hasn't even taken Wayanad's name in Parliament for five years," says CPI's Annie Raja
Lok Sabha elections in the country, CPI candidate from Wayanad Lok Sabha Seat Annie Raja launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his candidature from the same constituency and said that the people are very disappointed with the performance of their representative (Rahul Gandhi). «People elected him with a huge majority… Sometimes they show anger because they are very disappointed with the performance of their representative, Rahul Gandhi. So it is for the people to judge,» she lashed out. She further stated that there is a lot of scope for the left front to take up the issues, whether it is the question of the human-animal conflict or the railway line. These are all issues that need to be taken up in the Parliament, not in the Kerala Assembly.

'What are you trying to prove?': BJP's Rajnath Singh slams Tejashwi Yadav for eating fish during Navratri
BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Sunday indirectly targeted former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav, questioning why some individuals make a spectacle of their dietary preferences while others observe austerity. Recently, a video surfaced showing RJD leader Yadav eating fish fry during Navratri, sparking controversy with BJP leaders expressing disapproval. Speaking at an election rally in Bihar's Jamui district, Rajnath Singh, without directly mentioning Tejashwi's name, slammed the Bihar leader. «You may eat fish, pig, or an elephant. But what is the point you are trying to prove by making a show of your act when people are observing austerities,» TOI quoted Singh as saying.

$850 Millennium Falcons and $680 Titanics: Grown-ps are now a gold mine for Lego
MANCHESTER, England—Lego has always been a toy for children, but try telling that to its legion of adult fans. Grown-up builders, often rediscovering Lego after what aficionados refer to as the “dark age"—the void separating childhood fandom and its resumption as an adult—are increasingly helping cement the Danish company’s status as the world’s biggest toy maker by sales. “We don’t buy every new set that comes out," said Jonny Edmondson, a 38-year-old graphic designer at a mass gathering of Lego enthusiasts in Manchester in February.

India adds record 18 GW renewable energy capacity in FY24
India has added a record renewable energy capacity of 18.48 GW in 2023-24, which is over 21 per cent higher than 15.27 GW a year ago, according to the latest data of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. However, industry experts said there is a need to add at least 50 GW of renewable energy capacity annually for the next six years to meet the ambitious target of 500 GW of renewables by 2030. According to the data, India's installed renewable energy capacity is 143.64 GW as of March 31, 2024, excluding 47 GW of large hydropower capacity (each plant is more than 25 GW or above). They pointed out that renewable energy capacity stood at around 190 GW, including large hydro projects, and therefore, India needs to add 310 GW in the next six years or at an average of 50 GW per annum.
