Many Gujarat Congress leaders colluding with BJP: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi openly addressed the divisions within the state Congress, hinting at a major overhaul. Speaking to party workers in Ahmedabad, Gandhi accused a faction of Congress leaders and workers of colluding with the BJP, creating a divide within the party. He stated, «There are two types of people in Gujarat Congress. One stands with the people, fights for them, and carries the ideology of Congress. The other is disconnected, does not respect the people, and is aligned with BJP.» Gandhi emphasised the need to clearly differentiate between these two groups, stating that without doing so, the people of Gujarat would not trust the Congress. He added, «If we need to take strong action and expel those working for the BJP from within, then we should.» Admitting that the opposition had failed to offer a viable alternative, Gandhi acknowledged that the Gujarat Congress has struggled to show the way forward for the state. He said, «We have not fulfilled the expectations of the people of Gujarat. We need to admit this openly.»

Are you more likely to be diagnosed with cancer if you are plus-sized? Answer is not so simple, reveals new study
A research collaboration among experts from the University of Reading, University College London, and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine examined cancer prevalence across 263 different species spanning mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Their results challenge Peto’s paradox—a hypothesis first introduced in 1977, which proposed that an organism’s size had no significant influence on its likelihood of developing cancer. Published on February 24 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), the study demonstrated a clear pattern: larger species generally show greater rates of tumour occurrence. However, species that evolved to grow rapidly to substantial sizes, such as elephants, simultaneously developed powerful biological mechanisms to counteract cancer.
