Action Nov show country reports testing North Korea vows more satellite launches, beefs up military on border
North Korea warned on Monday it would continue to exercise its sovereign rights, including through satellite launches, while its troops were reported to be restoring some demolished guard posts on the border with South Korea. North Korea's foreign ministry said the launch of a reconnaissance satellite last week was prompted by the need to monitor the United States and its allies, state media KCNA reported. «It is a legal and just way to exercise its right to defend itself and thoroughly respond to and precisely monitor the serious military action by the U.S. and its followers,» the KCNA report said. Nuclear-armed North Korea launched the satellite on Tuesday, saying it successfully entered orbit and was transmitting photographs, but South Korean defence officials and analysts said its capabilities have not been independently verified. The launch prompted South Korea to suspend a key clause in a 2018 inter-Korean military agreement and resume aerial surveillance near the border. North Korea in turn declared it was no longer bound by the agreement and would deploy weapons on the border with the South. Citing South Korean military officials, Yonhap news reported that North Korean soldiers had been observed bringing back heavy weapons into the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) border and setting up guard posts that the two countries demolished in the wake of the de-escalation agreement.

show exclusive information patient Neuroscientists challenge common belief, say our brain can't 'rewire' itself
brain does not have the ability to rewire itself to compensate for the loss of sight, an amputation or stroke, for example, neuroscientists say. They argue that the notion that the brain, in response to injury or deficit, can reorganise itself and repurpose particular regions for new functions, is fundamentally flawed, despite being commonly cited in scientific textbooks. Instead, what is occurring in such scenarios is merely that one's brain is being trained to utilise already existing but latent abilities, the researchers write in an article in the journal eLife.

Provident Platform Action Instagram show social reports Court document claims Meta knowingly designed its platforms to hook kids: report
Meta Platforms deliberately engineered its social platforms to hook kids and knew — but never disclosed — that it had received millions of complaints about underage users on Instagram but only disabled a fraction of those accounts, according to a newly unsealed legal complaint described in reports from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. The complaint, originally made public in redacted form, was the opening salvo in a lawsuit filed in late October by the attorneys general of 33 states. Marvell show audience reports Wanda Vision spin-off 'Agatha: Darkhold Diaries' release date: When will Disney+ series premier?
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries', has unveiled its first glimpse, offering viewers a sneak peek into the magical realm of Agatha Harkness, portrayed by Kathryn Hahn. While not officially designated as Season 2, this series marks Marvel's return to Disney+ after the groundbreaking success of «WandaVision,» delving once again into the enchanting universe of witches and Westview. Throughout its development, the series underwent multiple title changes and adjustments to its release schedule. Currently slated for a September 19, 2024 debut, «Agatha: Darkhold Diaries» promises to captivate audiences with its mystical narrative and Kathryn Hahn's reprisal of the enigmatic Agatha Harkness. Since 2008’s “Iron Man,” the Marvel machine has been one of the most unstoppable forces in box-office history. Now, though, that aura of invincibility is showing signs of wear and tear. The superhero factory hit a new low with the weekend launch of “The Marvels,” which opened with just $47 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The 33rd installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a sequel to the 2019 Brie Larson-led «Captain Marvel», managed less than a third of the $153.4 million its predecessor launched with before ultimately taking in $1.13 billion worldwide. The previous low for a Walt Disney Co.-owned Marvel movie was «Ant-Man», which bowed with $57.2 million in 2015. Otherwise, you have to go outside the Disney MCU to find such a slow start for a Marvel movie — releases like Universal's “The Incredible Hulk” with $55.4 million in 2008, Sony’s “Morbius” with $39 million in 2022 or 20th Century Fox’s «Fantastic Four» reboot with $25.6 million in 2015.
