Indian Air Force (IAF) in September, said a report by Hindustan Times onWednesday IAF crews will carry out acceptance trials of India’s first C295 transport aircraft at the Airbus Defence and Space’s Seville facility in southern Spain in early September before taking delivery of the plane, said the report citing Airbus officials aware of the matter. The delivery of C295 to India will set in motion a crucial ‘Make in India’ project worth  ₹21,935 crore to equip the IAF with 56 such aircraft.

India and Pakistan will play the Asia Cup matches at the neutral venue of Kandy in Sri Lanka. But the groups are made in such a way that India will not have to play in Lahore. The only group match between India and Pakistan will be played in Kandy on September 2. The inaugural match of the Asia Cup cricket will be held on August 30 in the Pakistani city of Multan between Nepal and Pakistan. Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka on August 31 in Kandy whereas Afghanistan will take on Bangladesh on August 3 in Lahore. Nepal will meet India in Kandy on September 4 and Afghanistan will take on Sri Lanka on September 5 in Lahore.
