Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the Aditya Birla Sun Life Conglomerate Fund, an open-ended diversified equity scheme following the conglomerate theme. The New Fund Offer (NFO) of the scheme will open for subscription on December 5 and close on December 19. The scheme will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase within five business days from the date of allotment. The scheme's investment objective is to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity-related securities of companies that follow a conglomerate theme. The scheme will be benchmarked against the BSE Select Business Groups Index and will be managed by Harish Krishnan and Kunal Sangoi.

Gaming and esports company NODWIN Gaming on Friday said it has acquired Trinity Gaming at a valuation of Rs 24 crore. Trinity Gaming serves as a Creator Service Provider (CSP) for Meta and gaming Multi-channel Network (MCN) for YouTube in India. It manages over 1,000 creators nationwide and has established partnerships with the likes of Samsung, Realme, iQOO, and Krafton. «The acquisition of 100 per cent of the share capital of Trinity will be a combination of secondary sale and stock swap of NODWIN Gaming shares for a total consideration of up to Rs 24 crore,» a company statement said. The consideration would be payable partly by way of cash consideration of up to Rs 4.8 crore and balance Rs 19.2 crore by way of swap of equity shares of NODWIN Gaming, it added.

Canara Bank 1.65 per cent to Rs 101.30 in Friday's trade as of 12:33PM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 103.80 and low of Rs 100.75 during the session. The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 18.4 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 12:33PM shares and turnover at Rs 8.09 crore around that time. The stock of Canara Bank quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 129.35 and 52-week low prices of Rs 77.97, respectively.

REC Ltd. 0.19 per cent to Rs 529.35 in Friday's trade as of 12:28PM (IST) even as the benchmark Nifty ruled at 24100.65, 186.5 points. The scrip had closed at Rs 528.30 in the previous session. The stock quoted a 52-week low of Rs 331.85 and a high of Rs 653.90. The company quoted a market-cap of Rs 138994.73 crore on the BSE.

HSBC is pulling back from its credit card business in China eight years after its launch, as the lender struggled to expand and make the enterprise profitable in the world's second-largest economy, sources with knowledge of the matter said. The Asia-focused bank has stopped issuing new cards and is working towards winding down the service offered to a large part of China onshore customers, three sources with direct knowledge of the matter said. Two of the them said the planned closure comes after failed attempts to sell the business.

Ajmer has sent waves of controversy across the country, especially it's political segment. Since the row over the Ajmer Sharif began on Wednesday, concerns have been raised over a Rajasthan court’s notice regarding a lawsuit over the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti shrine claiming the famous Sufi shrine was originally a Shiva temple. The row has even led some to accuse former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud of opening a «Pandora's box» that could fuel communal tensions and even lead to violence. The petition, filed in September in a local Ajmer court, seeks directions to begin worship at the Ajmer Shrine as a Shiva temple. Vishnu Gupta, the plaintiff, claimed that a Shiva temple existed at the site before the dargah was built and that it should be declared a Hindu place of worship. His request for a survey of the site by the ASI and the cancellation of any official registration of the dargah has sparked widespread debate.
