Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya launches 'Fit India Cycling Drive'
Mansukh Mandaviya flagged off the 'Fit India Cycling Drive' at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Tuesday. Close to 500 cycling enthusiasts joined the three kilometres ride from the stadium to Raisina Hills and back, the initiative aimed at promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation. The event was flagged off by Mandaviya in the presence of Raksha Khadse, the minister of state (Sports), MP Tejasvi Surya, as well as elite athletes, including Paris Paralympics bronze medallist Simran Sharma, Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nitu Ghanghas and Asian Games bronze winner Preeti Pawar. Mandaviya said in a press release, «We have launched this event as 'Fit India Cycling Tuesdays' but for the convenience of cycling enthusiasts, this will now be conducted on Sundays and be called 'Sundays on Cycle'.

BluSmart secures Rs 100 crore financing under its asset leasing initiative
Electric ride-hailing and charging infrastructure network BluSmart on Tuesday said it has secured Rs 100 crore in EV financing under its asset leasing initiative. Under the 'Assure by BluSmart' initiative, the partner can purchase electric cars and lease these cars to BluSmart. Assure has surpassed Rs 100 crore in book value. Within the first year of launch, the program has grown exponentially, jumping 10 times in monthly scale of financing secured with 25+ large partners onboard, the company said. The initiative has gained robust support from leading green financing institutions, transport and logistics operators, as well as family offices.

Airbus leases 650,000 sq ft office in Bengaluru for 10 years for GCC set up
Airbus has picked up over 650,000 sq ft office space in a commercial tower in Bengaluru’s Whitefield through a long-term lease of 10 years to set up its global capability centre (GCC), supporting innovation and technology development-related strategic initiatives worldwide, said persons with direct knowledge of the development. The European multinational company will be paying rentals of over Rs 500 crore for this new office space in an entire building of Titanium Tech Park through the lease term. The deal has provision for future scalability to accommodate growth with an additional 150,000 sq ft that can be exercised after a year, taking the total space to 800,000 sq ft. The clause for lease tenure also includes an option to extend the same by an additional five years, making it a 15-year deal.

'Felt trapped due to family obligations': Surat man chops off four fingers under work pressure
The man initially reported to police on December 8th that he had been attacked and his fingers cut off by an unknown assailant while urinating near Vedant Circle. Israeli troops kill 20 in Gaza Strip, attack school sheltering displaced Palestinians
They said at least 11 of the dead were killed in three separate Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City houses. The others were killed in the towns of Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun and Jabalia camp.
