AU Small Finance Bank is targeting to double its balance sheet size to Rs 2.5 lakh crore in three years, helped by the acquisition of Fincare SFB and the growing consumption trend in the country. The bank earlier this week operationalized Authorised Dealer (AD-I) license with foray in forex with 'AU Remit' and Cross-border Trade with 'AU DigiTrade'. «We are targeting a growth of 25 per cent in the next three years and we should double the balance sheet size to Rs 2.5 lakh crore by the time we complete one decade of existence,» AU Small Finance Bank managing director Sanjay Agarwal told PTI. The bank started its business in 2017, with a balance sheet size of Rs 10,000 crore, which has now crossed Rs 1.25 lakh crore. Human resources has gone up from just 3,000 to 46,000 during the same period, he said.

Stock Market News: Following a five-day surge, the domestic benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty 50, buckled under selling pressure on Friday as investors reduced their exposure to banking, and financial stocks amid mixed global cues. According to reports, traders stated that continuing outflows of foreign funds, a falling rupee, and rising global crude prices further weighed on sentiments. UltraTech Cement is expected to report a net profit of Rs 1,962 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 which will be an 18% year-on-year jump over the corresponding quarter of the last financial year according to average estimates of three brokerages. Sequentially the profit is expected to go up by 13%. The revenue from operations for the reporting quarter is likely to remain at Rs 20,057 crore according to the average estimates, which will be higher by 8.50% on the year-on-year basis. On the quarter-on-quarter basis, the revenue for the January-March quarter is expected to go up by 21.26%.
