rupee ended little changed against the dollar on Thursday, ahead of the key U.S. inflation data that could potentially help investors reassess the outlook for interest rates in the world's largest economy. The rupee was at 83.0275 to the dollar compared with 83.0250 in the previous session. The rupee had, in intraday trades, risen to a near one-month high of 82.9350 on dollar sales by certain foreign banks pertaining to custodial and positional flows, traders said. «Despite the dollar inflows, the rupee needs to close convincingly above 83 to confirm a change in trend,» said Jigar Trivedi, senior research analyst — currencies and commodities at Reliance Securities. startup Ninjacart has reported a 19% rise in operating revenues to Rs 1,153.5 crore in the financial year ended March 2023. Losses during the period rose to Rs 326.4 crore from Rs 307.9 crore a year ago. The Tiger Global and Flipkart-backed company expects to post a net profit by the end of fiscal 2026.

NEW DELHI : India is considering import duty cuts on components key to producing high-end mobile phones, two government officials said, which would potentially be a boost for companies like Apple and the country's exports. Companies in the sector have been pushing for cuts on nearly a dozen components to reduce the cost of making smartphones in India and level up the playing field with regional competitors such as China and Vietnam. India's electronics and information technology ministry is firming up the proposal, including the size of the duty cuts, and hopes it can be included in the federal budget on Feb.1, one official said.
