DGCA has mandated that at least 25 per cent of the air traffic controllers, aircraft maintenance engineers, and personnel carrying out safety-sensitive work at an airport will have to undergo a breath analyser test daily. The revised Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) in this regard will come into force after three months, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a release on Thursday. Currently, the breath analyser test percentage required is 10 per cent and that has been increased to 25 per cent. It will be applicable for air traffic controllers, ground staff, aircraft maintenance engineers, and ground handling services personnel right.

IndiGo on Wednesday announced new domestic route additions to its flight network. The latest routes will be functional from March 31, 2024. Telecom operators are estimated to have spent an additional Rs 10,000 crore in 2022-23 to support traffic generated by large entertainment and communication apps, according to an estimate of telecom industry body COAI. Internet services were suspended on Monday in Maharashtra's Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Beed districts to maintain law and order in view of the Maratha quota agitation led by activist Manoj Jarange, officials said on Monday. As a precautionary measure, borders of these districts have also been sealed, they said. The internet services in the three districts have been suspended with effect from 6 am to 4 pm to avoid any untoward incident due to rumours on social media platforms, an official said quoting an order of the state home department. Three cases has been registered in Beed district for agitations without permission, another official said adding that two persons have been arrested for damaging a state transport bus.

Cube Highways & Infrastructure, an investment arm of global infrastructure fund I Squared Capital, plans to monetise some of its road assets by selling seven highway projects spanning 516 kilometres (2,200 lane km), multiple people aware of the development said. Cube has hired Ambit Capital to run the sale process and feelers have already been sent to leading investors and strategic investors, the sources said. They did not share any estimated sale value. The assets on the block include six hybrid annuity model (HAM) assets and one BOT (build-operate-transfer) asset. They reported a total revenue of ₹860 crore in FY23. Cube Highways — the largest roads operator in India with a portfolio of 27 highways spanning nearly 8,400 lane km — had originally planned to transfer these assets with a right of first offer (ROFO) into its private infrastructure investment trust (InvIT), the sources said.
