UP bride has a surprise bidaai. Bulldozers join the ceremony
Indian weddings are known for their grandeur, featuring lavish decorations and dramatic entries for the bride and groom. Among the many cherished rituals, the bidaai—the bride's farewell from her family home after the wedding—is one of the most emotional moments. In recent years, families have introduced creative ways to make this tradition less sorrowful, opting for grand send-offs in helicopters or even bullock carts. However, a wedding in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, took this trend to a whole new level when a bride departed in an unexpected choice of vehicle.

FII activity, Trump's tariff stance among 6 factors to impact D-Street trade this week
Nifty 50 on Friday slipped below the critical support level of 22,800, touching a low of 22,720 before closing at 22,795.90. The metals sector was the sole gainer, driven by optimism over potential tariffs aimed at protecting domestic producers from China’s dumping practices and better earnings. In contrast, Auto, Pharma, and Healthcare indices declined nearly 2%. Pharma stocks suffered a sharp sell-off following Trump’s unexpected tariff announcement on pharmaceuticals. Additionally, the auto sector remained under pressure due to concerns over slowing demand, as highlighted in the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers’ (SIAM) report.

Kapil Garg would say, yes. He set up his company, Thela Gaadi, in 2021 to sell quirky socks, after he glanced at his own uninspiring pair.
