The company will announce its results later today in the evening. Net profit for the fourth quarter is likely to grow up to 68% year-on-year, according to various analyst estimates, while net sales are expected to rise 13% year-on-year.

Siddhartha Khemka: There are various possible scenarios and outcomes and based on that, the market could react. There is a lot of talks and a lot of reports being floated around with respect to how market would react to the number that the BJP kind of garners, so anything between that 310-320 would be a scenario where I would believe that it is a news or event that is already discounted for and we could see some partial profit booking after that.

If the results are good, then you will have the whole year to profit. But if it is bad, exit will be very difficult. What should be the strategy ahead of not just June 1st but the big one – June 4th? Dipan Mehta: Be as light as possible. Curtail all trading positions, options, futures, everything. Just enjoy the election result and watch all your news channels giving all their comments on what has gone right and what has gone wrong. It is best to be relatively light and in cash. The risk return does not really favour you. Even if it is a spectacularly good result, you will have opportunities to buy. But if it is a bad Lok Sabha result outcome, you would not get a chance to sell, that I am certain about.

TPG Asia is selling its entire stake in wire and cable manufacturer RR Kabel through a block deal on Thursday to raise Rs 957 crore ($114.9 million), according to a term sheet reviewed by ET. TPG Asia holds a 5% stake in the company as of the end of March 2024, according to BSE filings. The PE firm acquired a 21% stake in RR Kabel five years before the IPO that was launched in the second half of 2023, and since then, it has been consistently pruning its stake.

There is a huge demand-supply mismatch in the market and the group is also upgrading the hotels. 10% of the inventory is going to be upgraded this year and higher average room rates are expected going forward. Q4 was a pretty strong quarter for you. But the question now is do you see similar growth trends continuing even from here? Also, tell us about your expansion plans. Vijay Dewan: During the year which is ahead of us, we are going to add about 238 rooms, out of which 52 rooms are going to be added in the palace category, the Ran Bass Palace by the Park at Patiala and the Chettinad Palace by the Park at Chettinad and additional hotels. And these palace hotels are high average room rate hotels and this is going to significantly drive our growth going forward.
