China is sending «lethal aid» to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine, Britain's defence minister Grant Shapps said on Wednesday. «Today I can reveal that we have evidence that Russia and China are collaborating on combat equipment for use in Ukraine,» he said in a speech at a London conference. NoPo Nanotechnologies, which makes an advanced material that can replace silicon in semiconductors and batteries and is supplying samples to chipmakers in Taiwan and Japan, is scaling up production capacity, its founders told ET. Liquidity deficit surges to four-month high
liquidity, as measured by bank borrowings from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has widened to the highest level in four months as tax outflows and constraints on government spending amid elections have left lenders with a cash crunch, pushing up overnight borrowing costs. The latest RBI data showed that as of May 21, net liquidity injected into the banking system was at ₹2.55 lakh crore, the highest since January 30. Fund injections by the RBI reflect banks' borrowings from the central bank's liquidity windows.

Coforge launches QIP to fund acquisition
Bengaluru: Noida-based IT firm Coforge launched a share placement for qualified institutional buyers late Tuesday night. The company plans to raise up to ₹2,240 crore through the QIP (qualified institutional placements) to fund its acquisition of Cigniti Technologies. The company in a filing with BSE said that the floor price for the issue is at ₹4,531.40 per equity share. In a recent interaction with ET, Sudhir Singh, the CEO, said that the company will shell out $220 — $250 million, (or about ₹1,826 crore — ₹2,081 crore) to acquire Hyderabad-based Cigniti Technologies even as the Noida-based IT firm launched an open offer to acquire an additional 26% stake in Cigniti. He had said that they would use QIP to acquire between 51% — 54% of the of Cigniti.
