Will Modi-Sharif chemistry transform India-Pakistan ties?
Imran Khan have outperformed the other two major parties, PML-N of Nawaz Sharif and PPP of Bilawal Bhtto Zardari, Sharif is likely to become the next prime minister by forging an alliance with the PPP and pulling away independent winners. Neither of the two parties nor the independent winners will have enough numbers to reach a majority. Khan's party PTI did not fight elections on its own as it had lost its election symbol but its candidates fought as independents. Elections in Pakistan were marred by violence, suspension of the internet and alleged manipulation of results. Khan's party, PTI, has claimed that the military rigged the election to prop up Sharif as the prime minister. The wheelings and dealings for the government formation kicked off after the results indicated a hung parliament in Pakistan. Notably, both Imran and Sharif have claimed victory in the polls and are talking about forming a government.

Delhi brings draft policy for decongesting city by relocating logistics infra to city's periphery
Delhi government has come up with a draft policy aiming to decongest the city by setting up a network of freight villages and micro-delivery hubs and relocating logistics infrastructure to the periphery of the national capital, officials said on Saturday. Around 1.93 lakh vehicles enter Delhi and leave the city every day. Out of these, about 79 per cent vehicles have business inside the city like unloading of goods and carrying finished products and commodities to various parts of the country. It is estimated that the goods vehicle traffic will increase to about 5.13 lakh trucks by 2042 in the city, according to the policy document. The 'City Logistics Policy' draft has been put in public domain by the Industries department for having feedback of stakeholders like transporters, logistics agencies, traders and industry before finalising and notifying the policy, officials said.

SKM welcomes Bharat Ratna for Charan Singh, Swaminathan, slams govt for not keeping MSP promise
Samyukt Kisan Morcha on Saturday welcomed the conferring of Bharat Ratna on Chaudhary Charan Singh and MS Swaminathan but termed it an attempt to divert people's attention from government's failure to provide Minimum Support Price for crops as suggested by the Swaminathan committee. In a statement, the SKM also said Singh and Swaminathan will remain alive in people's memory for their contribution to farmers even without a Bharat Ratna and «denounced» Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to solve the crisis of farmers of India. «SKM welcomes BJP government's late recognition of Chaudhary Charan Singh and due recognition of Dr. MS Swaminathan for their contribution to agriculture and farmers in conferring Bharat Ratna on them. While Chaudhary Charan Singh had a role in implementation of Zamindari Abolition in UP leading to ownership rights for peasantry, as the Chairman of the National Farmers' Commission, Dr. MS Swaminathan made recommendations for income guarantee to farmers,» the SKM said in a statement. «However, the Modi government is honouring and decorating the leaders only to cheat the farmers and people. The PM has neither honesty nor sincerity and indulged in a poor vote catching gimmick intended to worsen farmers' misery and use tokenism to camouflage his services to big corporate forces associated with foreign companies in farming,» it said.

Ecommerce enabler GoKwik says proliferation of fake orders rising online
Ecommerce enabler GoKwik said there is an increasing proliferation of fake orders on ecommerce platforms from people who provide gibberish contact and address details, impacting the cost of operations for companies. «Over the last two weeks, we have observed 2-10% of total orders being fraudulent on the affected merchants. For some, it has been as high as 15-20%. However, with our return to origin (RTO) risk intelligence and fraud prevention mechanisms, we were able to intervene and safeguard merchants immediately. We fear that the actual number of brands affected in the overall ecosystem outside of GoKwik network will be far higher,» said Chirag Taneja, cofounder and CEO of GoKwik.
