Rise in delinquencies: Banks buckle up, go slow on issuing new credit cards
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed that the pace of new card additions slowed to 620,000 in September from 920,000 in August, a fall of nearly a third. New card issuances have fallen by more than 64% from the year earlier. The latest additions take the total credit cards in force to 106 million. Experts say that new card additions will slow further as lenders become wary of the unsecured segment. “New cards issuance was majorly led by HDFC Bank and SBI Cards. However, net new card additions are expected to slow down in the near term due to rising delinquencies in the credit card receivables,” said IDBI Capital analyst Bunty Chawla. “Lenders also remain cautious on new cards disbursements due to the RBI’s risk weight norms.”

Donald Trump will win Arizona but may lose the U.S elections to Kamala Harris, says Fox News poll
former US President Donald Trump in Arizona. According to Newsweek, host Bill Hemmer during a segment on America’s Newsroom eventually noted that US Vice President Kamala Harris could still achieve an Electoral College though without winning Arizona while highlighting about the importance of other battleground states. Newsweek noted that the network’s shift was in accordance with an average of eight polls which were conducted since early September where Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump led in seven polls and Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris led in only one. Iran adviser hints at expansion of missile range, nuclear doctrine review after Israel strikes
Kamal Kharrazi, an adviser to Iran's supreme leader, said on Friday that Tehran is likely to increase the range of its ballistic missiles and possibly review its nuclear doctrine, amid growing tensions with arch-enemy Israel and tit-for-tat missile and airstrikes. Asked by Lebanon-based pro-Iran broadcaster Al-Mayadeen whether Iran was ready if conflict were to expand after the recent strikes, Kharrazi said Iran was likely to up the range of its ballistic missiles beyond a self-imposed limit of 2,000 km (1,250 miles). He said that although Iran has the technical capability to produce nuclear weapons, it is currently held back by a fatwa, or religious decree, issued in the early 2000s by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

US election: Donald Trump takes 4 point lead over Kamala Harris in this new poll days before voting day
Donald Trump has now taken a lead over Kamala Harris in the final stages of the US election, suggests the latest poll data by DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners. This is a major boost of confidence for Republicans, with the national general elections just four days away, and it places the Democrats in a major position of worry as it means that Harris has to push a little more in terms of campaigning if she is to get close to Trump's lead.

Court approves Tupperware's sale to lenders, paving way for brand's exit from bankruptcy
bankruptcy judge approved a sale of Tupperware Brands on Tuesday, paving the way for the iconic food storage company to soon exit Chapter 11 protection and continue offering its products while undergoing a hoped-for revitalization. The sale given the court's green light in Delaware still is subject to closing conditions. Under terms of the deal, a group of lenders is buying Tupperware's brand name and various operating assets for $23.5 million in cash and more than $63 million in debt relief. Tupperware agreed to the lender takeover last week, pivoting from a previously planned asset auction. The brand said it expects to operate as The New Tupperware Co. upon completion of the deal.
