This is a major boost of confidence for Republicans, with the national general elections just four days away, and it places the Democrats in a major position of worry as it means that Harris has to push a little more in terms of campaigning if she is to get close to Trump's lead.
The poll data that was released on Thursday, shows that Donald Trump has a 49 per cent support among US voters, as compared to Harris' 46 per cent. However, it must be noted that there was a margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points, which means the game is not yet over for Harris, and she can still cope up in the final days.
