Pakistani YouTuber's ‘295’ perfume sparks outrage—Now he faces a decade in prison
Rajab Butt, one of Pakistan’s most prominent social media figures, is now at the centre of a blasphemy case. The controversy erupted after he launched a fragrance called «295,» directly referencing the blasphemy section of Pakistan’s penal code. A video promoting the perfume, now deleted from his accounts, quickly drew backlash. TLP leader Haider Ali Shah Gillani filed a formal complaint against Butt on Monday. “Our religious sentiments have been hurt,” he said. “There are numerous sections in the penal code, but why did he choose blasphemy-related sections to name a perfume?” Speaking to AFP, he added, “This means you acknowledge the offence and are celebrating it. This is essentially an attempt to normalise such actions.”

Job hiring or hunger games? Candidates push back against lengthy, unfair interview processes
The original poster (OP) detailed their experience of being approached for a senior role that seemed promising in terms of pay and benefits. However, after submitting their CV, they were informed of an extensive three-stage interview process. The first round included a video call with the hiring manager and HR to discuss past experience—something the OP found reasonable. The second round required an in-person panel interview with engineers, where they would be expected to answer technical questions on the spot and present on a topic of their choice. Finally, the third round demanded participation in a group project with other candidates, technical aptitude tests, and another round of interviews with senior management and HR. At that point, the OP withdrew their application, stating, «I’m sorry, I’m not participating in normalizing this ridiculous HR-driven process for positions all the way up the ladder.» They later found another role with a much simpler hiring process—a single in-person interview with technical questions—which turned out to be «the best job I’ve ever had, on more money than the initial role.»

Journalist booked for anti-Shivaji Maharaj remarks held from Telangana
Maharashtra police on Monday said they have arrested Nagpur journalist Prashant Koratkar, booked for making derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji, from Telangana. Koratkar was taken into custody in Telangana and is being brought to Maharashtra, an official said. «We have taken him into custody and a police team is bringing him to Kolhapur. Further legal procedure will follow,» said Kolhapur Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit said. A case was filed against Koratkar for making derogatory remarks about 17th-century Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji. Koratkar was booked on February 26 under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for promoting hatred or enmity among groups on the basis of an audio conversation between Koratkar and Kolhapur-based historian Indrajeet Sawant. Koratkar had allegedly made the objectionable comments during this conversation, which Sawant had posted on social media, resulting in widespread outrage and calls for the former's arrest. While Additional Sessions Judge DV Kashyap granted him protection from arrest till March 1, Kolhapur police approached the Bombay High Court against the order and seeking cancellation of this interim protection. At the time, the Bombay HC asked the Kolhapur sessions court to hear the matter.

Rs 51,000 vs Rs 1,500 per doctor visit. American woman compares USA vs India healthcare and her verdict will surprise you
India for a long time, often shares her observations on cultural differences between the two countries. In a recent video, she compared the healthcare systems of India and the USA, highlighting key differences in wait times, costs, and accessibility—points that many viewers agreed with. She began by discussing the waiting period for medical services. In the USA, an appointment with a general physician typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, whereas in India, walk-in consultations are available the same day. Specialist consultations in the USA require a wait of 1 to 3 months, while in India, they can usually be scheduled within a week. Elective surgeries, which take 3 to 6 months in the USA, are completed within 1 to 4 weeks in India. She also addressed the stark contrast in costs. In India, a doctor’s visit costs between $7 and $17 (approximately ₹600 to ₹1,500), whereas in the USA, it ranges from $150 to $600 (₹13,000 to ₹51,000). The cost of a one-night hospital stay is about $3,000 (₹2.56 lakh) in the USA, while in India, it is under $80 (₹7,000). Medical insurance in the USA costs between ₹68,000 and ₹1.28 lakh per month, compared to India, where it ranges from ₹2,000 to ₹5,000.

How a terrible interview process helped a techie find his dream job
He initially engaged with the recruiter, who described the job as offering a competitive salary and benefits. The first round involved a video call with the hiring manager and HR to discuss his experience, which he found reasonable. The second round was an in-person panel interview with engineers, where he had to answer technical questions and give a short presentation. However, the third round included a group project where candidates had to suggest improvements to an existing company design, followed by technical aptitude tests and a final interview with senior management and HR. Unwilling to participate in what he saw as an unnecessarily complex and time-consuming process, he withdrew his application and informed the recruiter that such extensive procedures might be suitable for graduate-level roles but not for senior professionals. The recruiter, surprisingly, agreed and mentioned that he was making sure candidates were aware of the process beforehand.

Gujarat tribal activists voice concern at BJP MLA's 'proselytisation bid'
BJP MLA Mohan Konkani for actively encouraging evangelism. Arvind Vasava from Dev Birsa Sena alleges that about 1,500 illegal churches have come up across the district, which are not registered with the state government and are proselytising the tribal populace. «Local MLA Mohan Konkani is actively encouraging these activities,» Vasava told ET adding that Gid Madi Dungar, a hillock in Songadh Block, that has long been a holy shrine for the animistic tribes, is now out of bounds for the aboriginals. A video of Konkani addressing a religious gathering has gone viral in social media where he asks the attendees to bring in more people. «A concrete road has come up along with a church on the hillock dedicated to Mother Mary and we are no longer even allowed to visit our shrine and make offerings,» Vasava said, adding representations have been made to the state government without any result. Vasava and his outfit have been staging protests against conversion and seeking protection of the tribal identity in the area. When contacted, Konkani refused to talk about the issue over the telephone. Earlier, he had denied the allegations made by Morari Bapu. BJP media cell coordinator Yagnesh Dave declined to comment.
