Top brokerages Jefferies and Kotak Institutional Equities have come out with their views on the stock. While the former has a 'Buy' stance, the latter recommended 'Reduce', calling the valuation expensive. L&T reported a 46.5% year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2023 to Rs 2,493 crore.

The engineering and construction major L&T posted a consolidated net profit of ₹2,493 crore in the first quarter of FY24, higher by 46% than ₹1,702 crore during the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal year. L&T reported 34% YoY growth in consolidated revenues, reaching ₹47,882 crore from ₹35,853 crore, with international revenues contributing 40% of the total.

Gold rate today: Ahead of US Fed meeting and speculations about 25 bps rate hike, US dollar (USD) climbed to one week high putting gold, silver and other assets under pressure. Gold future contract for August 2023 expiry on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), opened lower at ₹59,241 per 10 gm levels and went on to hit intraday low of ₹59,055 levels within few minutes of commodity market's opening bell. In international market, gold price today bounced back from intraday low of $1,954 per ounce levels and hit intraday high of $1,963 levels during early morning trade in various Asian markets.

Bitcoin has been in a month-long consolidation phase, characterized by low-volume transactions within the lower band over the past week.
