Big companies often get highlighted for the huge compensations that they offer and the perks one gets while working for them. Meta's average package is a whopping $379,000, according to a recent SEC filing. The company, which employs around 67,000 people, said that its median employee made over $379,000 in the year 2023. The average pay for a tech position falls between $35,000 to $120,000 depending on the role, but Meta's pay is significantly higher than that. However, giants like Google and Amazon offer packages that go well above $300,000 for similar positions.

Harsh Goenka, who describes himself as a sports lover, has six tips for the BCCI for the upcoming T-20 World Cup. Jaishankar on Monday said the partition of India in many ways broke the natural connectivity of the northeastern states and impacted the growth in the area due to political barriers as well as administrative issues. Nestle India Chairman & Managing Director Suresh Narayanan on Monday asserted that the company's infant food formulation for children below 18 months is done on a global basis and the allegation that «it is racially stereotyped is unfortunate» and untrue. Addressing reporters here, he said the amount of sugar content in infant foods is determined by the capability to meet the nutrition profile of a particular age group and that is universal. Nestle India's added sugar content in Cerelac is much lower than the upper limit prescribed by FSSAI, he added. «There is nothing in this product that makes it a product that is potentially of any risk or any kind of harm to the child,» he said.

BSE shares was brought to a screeching halt on Monday after market regulator Sebi asked the bourse to pay regulatory fee based on notional turnover and not premium turnover. Preliminary calculations done by the stock exchange shows that it could lead to an additional payout of Rs 165 crore plus GST. Based on the annual turnover considering notional value of option contracts, the total differential Sebi regulatory fees from FY 2006-07 to FY 2022-23, would be approximately Rs 68.64 crore plus GST, which includes interest of Rs 30.34 crore. For FY24, the differential Sebi regulatory fees for the year could be around Rs 96.30 crore plus GST.

NPS) was opened to the general public 15 years ago, it managed to get less than 5,000 voluntary investors. The investment rules were not very clear, the structure was quite complicated and there was also no clarity on the tax treatment of the income. But over the years, the NPS has undergone many changes and become more investor friendly. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has made the scheme more flexible and introduced new features. It has also made it easier to open an NPS account. If you have the necessary documents, the account can be opened online within minutes. The Finance Ministry has done its bit by introducing tax benefits on contributions, including tax deductions that are exclusive to the NPS and making 60% of the maturity corpus tax free. As a result, the NPS is slowly gathering pace. In 2023-24, some 8.73 lakh voluntary investors joined the scheme. That’s an average 2,391 investors joining per day, almost 100 every hour. But the NPS is still not the preferred investment vehicle for retirement. With only 55 lakh voluntary investors, it has tapped only 10% of the total investing population in the country.
