Haryana polls: BJP leaders meet at party chief's residence to discuss names of candidates
BJP leaders, including Union minister Amit Shah, met at party president JP Nadda's residence here on Thursday to discuss the names of probable candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly polls. This came ahead of the BJP's central election committee (CEC) meeting in the evening, during which the panel could finalise the names of its nominees for the polls to be held on October 1. BJP chief Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union ministers Shah and Rajnath Singh, among others, are part of the CEC. Besides Shah, Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, who is the BJP's in-charge for elections in Haryana, and Manohar LaL Khattar, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP Haryana unit president Mohan Lal Badoli were part of the core group meeting at Nadda's residence to scrutinise the names of probable sent from the state.

Over 300 additional paramilitary companies to be deployed for J-K Assembly polls
paramilitary forces will be deployed in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the three-phase assembly elections commencing from September 18 in the union territory, officials said on Thursday. According to the officials, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Jammu-Kathua range, Shiv Kumar Sharma arrived at the Police Reception Centre (PRC) at Bari Brahmna Railway Station on Wednesday night to welcome the arriving forces. DIG Sharma assessed the accommodation facilities for the paramilitary forces and briefed the officers on the sensitivity and importance of their duties, emphasising full cooperation with local police forces, the officials said.

Madhav Krishna, CEO & Founder of Vahan.ai, says the company assists the urban poor in finding gig jobs, often within 48 hours of registration on their app. The Vahan app offers solutions through its AI-powered bot. “Once the job seeker has applied via the app, the AI recruiter calls them and helps them through the application process, helping them seamlessly onboard the platform. In some cases, individuals have managed to even secure a job within 8 hours of downloading the mobile application,” he says. Krishna gives an example of a man named Prasad who lost his job and found Vahan.ai through a WhatsApp job post shared by a friend. “He was onboarded on Vahan.ai and placed in Zepto, a grocery delivery platform, within a day of reaching out. He began working as a full-time delivery executive,” he says.
