Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), on Wednesday reported 39 per cent drop in March quarter net profit on lower prices and foreign exchange loss. Besides them, 5,000 micro observers, 50,000 civil police personnel, 65 companies of Central Parliamentary Force and State Armed Police force of other states will also be deployed for security at these polling stations, he said.

We wish to alert the public in regard to such deceptive activities,» LIC said in a public caution notice. It asked the public to report URL links of such fraudulent advertisements on LIC's official social media accounts.
