During a recent meeting with the PM, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah is learnt to have raised the issue of 'raw deal that the state received' at the hands of the 15th Finance Commission, which 'lowered' the state's share in the divisible pool of taxes. PM Vishwakarma scheme as of October 31, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said on Tuesday. In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, he said the government has taken various measures to overcome the challenges faced by borrowers, particularly in rural areas and to facilitate easy flow of credit to cater to the needs of population. As per the data shared by Chaudhary, over 2.02 lakh accounts have been opened under PM Vishwakarma scheme with sanctioned loan amount of Rs 1,751.20 crore. The government launched PM Vishwakarma on September 17, 2023 to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday enhanced its scope by making top 500 stocks available for the T+0 cycle. The scrips will be made available as of December 31, 2024. “Optional T+0 settlement cycle shall be made available to top 500 scrips in terms of market capitalization as on December 31, 2024. The scrips shall be made available for trading and settlement starting with scrips at bottom 100 companies out of the aforesaid 500 companies and gradually include the next bottom 100 companies every month till top 500 companies are available for trading in optional T+0 settlement cycle," a Sebi circular issued on Tuesday said.

Varun Beverages Ltd. 0.87 per cent to Rs 647.00 in Tuesday's trade. It hit a high of Rs 653.50 and low of Rs 645.00 during the session. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 604.48, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 604.44. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades below 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it is considered a bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
