As the massive blast rocked Duttapukur in North 24 Parganas district of the state this morning, several houses adjoining the illegal fire crackers factory have suffered damages. The area bore the look of earthquake-like impact.
The house at Duttapukur in Barasat, where the blast took place, allegedly stored raw materials for cracker production without necessary permissions.
«Three women and three children have been hospitalized. TAnother person is critical and has been admitted in the ICU,» hospital sources said.
Police Superintendent of Barasat Bhaskar Mukhopadhyay said, «We are focussing debris clearance and we will do an enquiry.
