Accenture announced its third acquisition in the semiconductor silicon design and engineering services space with US-headquartered Cientra.
Accenture will absorb Cientra's approximately 530 engineers and practitioners entirely to Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers in India, Accenture said in a statement.
Founded in 2015, Cientra is an Indian multi-national product solutions company incorporated in the US and Germany. It has offices in Frankfurt (Germany), New Jersey (the US) Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Noida, its website said.
“Since inception, Cientra has been dedicated to building top talent and fostering continuous innovation, developing product solutions that drive value for our clients. Joining Accenture provides exciting opportunities to expand globally and scale our capabilities to create new avenues of growth for our clients as well as our people,” said Anil Kempanna, CEO of Cientra.
This acquisition by Accenture follows the addition of Bengaluru-based semiconductor design services provider Excelmax Technologies announced earlier this week. Previously, Canada-based silicon design services company XtremeEDA was acquired in 2022.
