2023 is the year for desi cinephiles! Movie lovers will be spoilt for choice this December! From the intense and electrifying ‘Animal’ to the Prabhas’s action extravaganza ‘Salaar’, there are no dearth of exciting releases in the last month of the year!
Bollywood Biggies
If all goes well, Bollywood will end 2023 on a high for movie lovers! The biggest film industry in India, which last year suffered a dry spell, came back with a vengeance this year, with the success of movies such as ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ and ‘12th Fail’. Now B’wood buffs are eagerly awaiting release of three movies ‘Animal’, ‘Sam Bahadur’ & Dunki’.
‘Animal’
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this explosive movie explores the complicated and bittersweet relationship between an absentee father (Anil Kapoor) and a son desperate for his affection (Ranbir Kapoor). The movie will hit the big screen on Friday.
‘Sam Bahadur’
Helmed by Meghna Gulzar (of ‘Raazi’ fame), this biopic revolves around the incredible life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal! The movie stars the talented Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The war drama will battle Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ for box-office supremacy on December 1.
‘Dunki’
This lighthearted comedy-drama addresses a very sensitive hot-button topic -illegal immigration. The movie also marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Aside from Khan, the movie also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The movie will release on 21 December.
