Manali, the quaint hill station of Himachal Pradesh is currently besieged by devastating floods. The scenic resort town is one of the seven districts of Himachal Pradesh havocked by heavy rains. Bollywood actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who is currently shooting for a film at the hill station is one of the many tourists left stranded.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar’ star told his fans that he was stuck in Manali due to the floods and how the road that connected Manali to Chandigarh was badly damaged by the gushing water. Sharing a clip of himself, the ‘Tere Sang’ actor wrote, “Never imagined I would actually get stuck in Manali with no network, no way to get back home as the roads are blocked and I am unable to shoot as well. Tough times in a very very beautiful place.
I don't even know if I should be happy, sad, thankful, grateful, or just enjoy my apple." He also mourned the destruction of the road. “This road doesn’t exist anymore,” he wrote. He also shared some glimpses of the place where he had taken shelter along with a bunch of other people.
In the video, he is seen eating with his companions. From the clips, the shelter seems similar to a garage. On the work front, Mumtaz was last seen in the biopic ‘Ajay Wardhan’.
Directed by Pragathi Agarwal, the movie narrates the life and times of Dr. Ajay Aryan, a dental surgeon hailing from Chandigarh. The movie has an ensemble cast comprising Romil Chaudhary, Abhimanyu Aryan, Ruslaan Mumtaz among others.
