BJP focusses on strengthening its organization at ground level in Uttarakhand, the state’s main opposition Congress is trying hard to revive its old support base ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
BJP, which won all the five seats in the 2014 and 2019 LS polls, is aiming to repeat its same performance in the coming 2024 LS polls.
Apart from selecting “Vistarak” for all the five LS seats, the party has started a special campaign to make voters aware about various schemes of the centre as well as the state government. For this purpose, the party has been forming “Toli” (a group of BJP supporters) at every booth.
These ‘Toli” would ensure proper coordination between the party’s “Shakti Kendra” and booth-level units. As things stand today, the party’s various committees are in existence at around 11729 booths across the hill state.
On the other hand, the Congress has appointed “Prabharies” (in-charges) in all the 70 assembly seats.
