Alien: Romulus, have been officially announced by 20th Century Studios. Directed by Fede Álvarez, the ninth installment in the iconic franchise follows a group of young characters who attempt to steal cryo equipment from an abandoned space station, only to encounter the deadly Xenomorph.
Starring Cailee Spaeny alongside David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu, the film is set to make its digital debut on October 15, 2024, through VOD platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, as per a report by Screenrant.
In addition to its standalone digital release, Alien: Romulus will also be available in a special two-movie digital bundle that celebrates the 45th anniversary of the original Alien. For collectors, a physical media release is slated for December 3, offering the film on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, including a limited edition SteelBook with exclusive custom artwork.
