‘Thangalaan’ OTT release date unveiled: When and where to watch Chiyaan Vikram’s period drama?
Chiyaan Vikram fans have been waiting patiently for ‘Thangalaan’s OTT debut. The movie’s producer finally shared some good news: The period action drama will be releasing on Netflix this Diwali! In an interview with Pinkvilla, movie producer Gnanavel Raja addressed all the speculations that have been going on about the movie’s OTT debut. He addressed rumours of the delay of the movie’s OTT release being caused by financial turmoil and confirmed that the movie will be available for streaming from Diwali onwards.
“They (Netflix) scheduled the release for Deepavali (Diwali). They wanted a festival release since Thangalaan is a big film. However, our favorite YouTubers are claiming that there are some issues with Thangalaan. They have a knack for claiming that there is an issue when in reality, there isn’t any.” he said.

Thangalaan (translated as «Son of Gold») is a 2024 Tamil-language action-adventure film directed by Pa. Ranjith, who co-wrote the screenplay with Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the banners of Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the film stars Vikram in five distinct roles, alongside Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, Pasupathy, and Hari Krishnan.
