Ambuja Cements shares will be in focus on Tuesday after the company announced a partnership with Finland-based technology and engineering firm Coolbrook.
The partnership aligns with the company's goal of leveraging zero-carbon heating technology to decarbonize its cement manufacturing process.
Ajay Kapur, CEO of the Cement Business at Adani Group, said, “Our strategic partnership with Coolbrook is exciting as it is a testament to our commitment to Net Zero targets. This move further strengthens our industry leadership in sustainability. We continuously seek out innovations that drive efficiency and decarbonization across our cement manufacturing value chain. Leveraging Adani Group’s green power generation capabilities, we will be able to reduce fossil fuel dependence, costs, and emissions, ultimately delivering the best value for our stakeholders.”

Ambuja will implement Coolbrook’s proprietary RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology to significantly reduce fossil fuel dependence and carbon emissions.
The RDH technology utilizes mechanical energy to generate high temperatures using green power at highly competitive rates. The process can minimize the use of fossil fuels to achieve high temperatures in cement kiln pre-calciner, which is crucial for cement manufacturing and other applications.
