The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has emerged as a veritable box-office phenomenon.
The action drama has crossed Rs 717 crore at the global box-office.
Taking to Twitter, trade analyst Sumit Kadel described the movie as an all-time blockbuster and shared a breakdown of the movie’s daily earnings at the overseas box-office.
He revealed that the movie had crossed the Rs 700 crore mark within 10 days of its release. The movie remained stable since its release, earning double-digit figures every single day. On day 10 Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial earned an impressive Rs 56 crore.
The movie also became one of the six Indian movies to cross $11 million in North America.
The film is making waves at the Indian box-office as well!
According to a report shared by the Indian box-office tracking portalSacnilk.com, the movie is close to reaching the Rs 500 crore mark on its home turf. The movie minted a whopping Rs 434 crore at the end of 11 days.
Kadel remarked that the movie has enjoyed the biggest second weekend ever for a Hindi film and had raked in a staggering Rs 87.56 crore in week 2.
Helmed by Vanga (the director of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’), ‘Animal’ is a gory family drama set in Delhi. It follows the exploits of one Rannvijay Balbir Singh (Kapoor) who sets on a bloody adventure to settle scores with some errant members of his extended family who shot his father, billionaire Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor).
Aside from the Kapoors, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandana, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles. It also has a special appearance by yesteryear villain Prem Chopra.
