Apple is in the works to celebrate the ten-year mark of its inaugural Apple Watch by launching a new smartwatch, possibly named Watch X. The anticipated release window for this device is either 2024 or 2025. It would be an homage to the introduction of the Apple smartwatch category in 2014. As per GSM Arena, industry insider Mark Gurman, known for his insights into Apple's plans, has revealed that the upcoming Watch X could sport an updated design to house a larger battery. The inclusion of a microLED display aims to elevate visual quality, while an innovative feature could allow the straps to attach magnetically, freeing up more internal space. This new strap design might make its debut alongside the Watch X or the Apple Watch 9. Gurman predicts a less drastic transformation, suggesting that the sizes – 41mm and 45mm – will likely remain, possibly with LTE or Wi-Fi variants.
