Ashok Leyland Friday reported a 19.8% increase in standalone net profit at Rs 900.41 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 751.41 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal. Revenues from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 11,266.69 crore as compared to Rs 11,625.67 crore in the year-ago period.
Total expenses last quarter were lower at Rs 9,913.50 crore as compared to Rs 10,596.51 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The board of directors of the company, at their meeting held on March 25, 2024, has declared an interim dividend of Rs 4.95 per equity share of Re 1 each, for the year ended March 31, 2024, Ashok Leyland said.
For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, net profit was at Rs 2,617.87 crore as compared to Rs 1,380.11 crore in the previous fiscal. Revenues from operations stood at Rs 38,367.03 crore as compared to Rs 36,144.14 crore in FY23.
The results were backed by an all-round performance with contributions from all business verticals, Ashok Leyland said, adding the overall CV volumes at 1,94,553 units in FY24 were very close to the previous high of 1,97,366 units.
