Guwahati: After Assam Police formed an SIT to investigate a case registered with Assam CID against a Pakistani national Ali Taqueer Seikh who works with a climate action group – CDKN, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said government SIT has found that Seikh has come to India 18 times and SIT has got some initial leads which might lead to facts which will be starting, huge and fatal.

Pakistani national Ali Taqueer Sheikh is accused of anti-India activities, and it is alleged that Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi's wife Elizabeth Colburn worked closely with Seikh.
Sarma in the state assembly on Thursday said, “Ali Taqueer Seikh’s all interest about Assam and India's politics. We have formed SIT and SIT has found that sheikh has come to India 18 times.We will soon find out who brings him to India where he goes.Initial investigation we have found very startling facts. The impact on Assam politics will be huge. At some time, we have to transfer this case to NIA”.
He added, “I promise to the Assam assembly that we will break the Ali Taqueer Sheikh network, we will come back to assembly in August, we will reveal facts about the consequences that will be huge, the facts will be fatal.”
