Ayodhya Ram Mandir on Thursday, ahead of the Pran Pratishta ceremony, scheduled on January 22,. Concealed beneath a veil, the photo of Lord Ram idol was revealed during the placement proceedings in the sanctum sanctorum.
Arun Yogiraj, a renowned sculptor from Karnataka, has crafted the 'Ram Lalla' idol. Standing at a height of 51 inches and weighing 1.5 tonnes, the idol depicts Lord Ram as a five-year-old child positioned on a lotus, crafted from the same stone.
The idol placement ceremony within the inner sanctum of the temple in Ayodhya Ram Mandir was accompanied by the recitation of prayers, according to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Ahead of the placement of the idol inside the temple's sanctum sanctorum «Ganesh Pujan» and «Varun Pujan» were held on Thursday.
Ram Lalla's idol was brought into the temple's sanctum sanctorum on Wednesday night, accompanied by an earlier 'Kalash Pujan' ceremony held earlier in the day.
On Thursday, «Ganesh Pujan' and „Varun Pujan“ were held as part of the rituals being performed in the run-up to the January 22 consecration ceremony. The idol of Ram Lalla was brought inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Wednesday night while a 'Kalash Pujan' was held earlier in the day.
The Ayodhya city has been decorated with flowers in anticipation of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony scheduled for January 22 at the Ram Temple.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend the consecration ceremony, the primary religious proceedings will be conducted by priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit. Various luminaries and prominent figures have received invitations to attend the ceremony.
