Battery-swapping startup Sun Mobility to power 30,000 electric scooters for Bounce Infinity
Sun Mobility on Thursday said it will power and deploy 30,000 scooters of Bengaluru-based startup Bounce Infinity across key markets.
These markets – including Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi – will see Sun Mobility generate business under both its battery-as-a-service and mobility-as-a-service models.

“Customers, including third-party fleets will power them through Sun’s battery swapping network. This will enable the users of these electric 2-wheelers to utilise Sun Mobility’s vast and robust network across the country,” a joint statement from the two companies said.
The two firms also aim to launch the solution in export markets, the statement added. Currently, Bengaluru-based Sun Mobility has over 600 battery-swapping stations across 19 cities in India, enabling over 1 million swaps and over 30 million kilometres each month.
Bounce Infinity’s range of Infinity E1 scooters has an impressive range of over 95 kilometers per swap. The company began as Wickedride Adventure, a rental service for high-end performance motorcycles in 2014, when it also pivoted to bicycle rentals. In 2016, it became a scooter-sharing service. In 2018, it again pivoted to a dockless scooter-sharing model and rebranded as Bounce.
