Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is on a winning spree. The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer, which marks KJo’s return to the director’s chair after seven years, has earned a lot of praise for bringing back the charm of Bollywood to the big screens. More than the progressive message in the movie, Bhatt's colourful range of sarees won people's hearts.
Overwhelmed by the love, the actress and the designer of the sarees, Manish Malhotra, decided to take an environmentally conscious route and introduced MiSu — a wardrobe-sharing initiative. Taking to social media to announce the news, the 30-year-old said that the initiative will focus on recycling and keep clothes from ending up in landfills. The actress-designer duo — in a one-of-its-kind collaboration — will sell the sarees worn by Bhatt's character Rani in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'.
«There's been so much love for my sarees in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that Manish and I have been working closely together to ensure that all the sarees that I have worn while promoting the film, reach you, my dear Ranis,» she wrote in her note on social media. Bhatt said that the proceeds from the sale will go to the non-profit organisation Sneha which works towards preventing and promoting healthcare to women and children. The sarees are currently available on sale.
«100% of the proceeds from the sale of these sarees will go towards preventive and promotive healthcare of vulnerable women and children through SNEHA. The collection will be available on www.manishmalhotra.in so go pick your favourite one. Or two.
