'Beat me up after drinking...': Atul Subhash's estranged wife accused him of harassment, abuse in police complaint
Atul Subhash's death broke, new details from his wife, Nikita's complaint against her in-laws have come to light.
Nikita had filed a complaint in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, alleging harassment and assault for dowry. The complaint accused Atul, his parents, and brothers-in-law of demanding additional dowry and subjecting Nikita to physical and mental abuse.
Nikita Singhania's complaint
According to Nikita, her marriage to Atul was marred by demands for more dowry. She alleged that her husband and in-laws were not happy with the wedding gifts and demanded Rs 10 lakh from her family.
Nikita claimed that she suffered physical and mental abuse at the hands of her husband. She said that her husband would beat her after drinking alcohol and treat her «like a beast.» She also alleged that her husband would transfer her entire salary to his account by threatening her.
«My husband started to beat me up after drinking alcohol and started treating the husband-wife relationship with me like a beast. He used to transfer my entire salary from my account to his account by threatening me,» Nikita had claimed.
