Tim Burton's sequel to his 1988 supernatural comedy Beetlejuice is set to debut on Max on December 6, followed by its HBO airing on December 7 at 6:10 p.m. ET.
The film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will stream exclusively on Max. It will also air on HBO on December 7. The sequel had a successful theatrical release in September, earning over $451 million globally.
The movie is the second-highest-grossing film of Tim Burton’s career domestically, with earnings exceeding $294 million. It has cemented itself as a significant milestone in his filmmaking journey.

The story follows Lydia Deetz, now an adult, as she deals with lingering effects from her past encounters with Betelgeuse. Her teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers a model of the town in the attic. This discovery accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife. The mischievous ghost Betelgeuse returns when his name is said three times, leading to chaos in both realms.
