Suvendu Adhikari said on Tuesday that the West Bengal government did not wait for the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report on Waqf but Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool government raised the issue due to “votebank politics”.
Adhikari was giving his speech today on the floor of the House during discussion on the Waqf resolution.
He slammed the Trinamool Congress on wrong information by party MP Kalyan Banerjee on Waqf.
The Trinamool Congress on Monday moved a resolution in the West Bengal assembly opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, which is currently under consideration of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).
