Bengaluru is in the spotlight for another reason: higher than usual temperatures. Netizens have taken to social media to comment on Bengaluru's weather. Recently an user Diwakar Kaushik shared on X that Gurugram is cooler than Bengaluru. A check of India Meteorological Department website showed that in the past 24 hours, the maximum recorded temperature in Bengaluru was 37.2 degrees Celsius, which is 3.2 degrees Celsius higher than normal. On the other hand, the maximum recorded temperature in Gurugram was 33.2 degrees Celsius.
And going by IMD's forecast for next week, there is not much respite for Bengaluru's residents from heat. The weather department has forecast that Bengaluru is expected to have a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius over the next seven days and minimum of 22 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, Gurugram could have a maximum temperature of 32-36 degrees Celsius over next one week while minimum of 16-18 degrees Celsius.
