Reacting to Velumani’s post, one X user wrote, “When you live a life to show off, even 10 lakhs per month will be less!”
“Wealth isn’t about how much you earn, but how wisely you grow. Expenses expand to match income—only investing breaks the cycle. Frugality today funds freedom tomorrow. Earn, invest, repeat—because peace comes from financial independence,” wrote another.
However, one X user called out Velumani for his opinion and claimed that in Bengaluru, a salary of Rs 1.5 lakh was indeed on the lower end of the spectrum. “1.5 lakhs per month in INDEED less in Bangalore. Even those gutter waale ghar cost 27k per month in Bangalore too.” read the comment.
