The city is set to experience more rain on Wednesday and the coming days as deep depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclone and move towards Tamil Nadu, skirting the Sri Lankan coast, over the subsequent two days, the India Meteorological Department has said.
Bengaluru and a few other districts are also likely to experience rainfall on November 27 and the following days. Dr N Puviarasan, a scientist at IMD, told Bengaluru Mirror that due to the cyclone, moderate rain or thundershowers are predicted in isolated places across districts such as Kolar, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Kodagu, and Hassan on November 27.
According to IMD, the city will see cloudy sky and haze and Wednesday. The temperature is likely to be around24 and 19 degree Celsius.
The weather department has issued a warning that temperatures in Bengaluru could dip further, with a possible drop to 12°C in the coming days. The chill is expected be harsher in December and January.
