Bettina Anderson, Donald Trump Jr.'s new girlfriend, wants a cosy charitable position in the Trump administration. Anderson is a Palm Beach socialite who has stated that she would like to be on one of the advisory committees or community outreach boards of the Trump White House, according to a source familiar with the transition efforts, as quoted in a report by The NY Post.
She has been vying for the top position on the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities. She has been schmoozing insiders at Donald Trump's resort home after his eldest son called it quits with his fiancée of nearly four years, Kimberly Guilfoyle. The breakup occurred at the same time that Guilfoyle was appointed US ambassador to Greece.
Trump called the former Fox News host a close friend and ally in a Truth Social post announcing the appointment. He also acknowledged her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics, along with her sharp intellect, describing her as extremely qualified to represent the United States and safeguard its interests abroad.
Anderson was overheard discussing how she could help the administration appeal to the more sophisticated and liberal Hamptons and Palm Beach types of people, indicating that Don Jr.'s new flame has gained access to senior decision makers while ingratiating herself.
However, insiders have questioned whether Anderson has good intentions or the qualifications needed to serve in a second Trump administration.
