Indian startups since 2021 and the current investment will take the company's total investment in the country to $290 million. Krafton has invested in companies like Kuku FM, Nodwin Gaming, Loco, Pratilipi and Lila Games.
Krafton's Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and earlier PUBG were banned by the Indian government in July 2022 owing to security concerns. The game made a comeback in May after seeking a three-month approval from the government during which time it was supposed to be closely monitored by the officials.
