controversies. One contestant in particular, Armaan Malik has gained a lot of flak for appearing on the show with his two wives ayal and Kritika Malik. Recently, TV star Devoleena Bhattacharjee lashed out at the trio for being “shameless.”
Taking to X, the ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ penned a long post against Malik and his two wives and lambasted the three for promoting filth in the name of entertainment. Although she did not take names, it did not take long for netizens to understand who she was referring to.
‘This is not entertainment, it's filth. I feel disgusted just hearing about it. Gross. I mean, in just 6/7 days love happened, marriage happened, and then the same thing with the wife's best friend. This is beyond my imagination, “ she wrote.
The actress also slammed Bigg Boss producers for trying to normalise polygamous marriages. She explained that showing such marriages in a positive light can affect viewers, as its audience includes not just adults, but also impressionable kids. “What do you want to teach the new generation? That they can have 2-3-4 marriages? Everyone can live happily together? Go and ask those who suffer from such incidents every day, living their lives in misery, “ she wrote.
The actress also doubled down on the importance of the Uniform Civil Code and Special Marriage Act which would prevent such marriages.
Bhattacharjee ended her note with a request. She asked polygamous couples to stay at home without promoting their mindset. “If it's so necessary to have 2-3 marriages then do it
