Bihar Police have arrested a gang for running a fraudulent operation called the 'All India Pregnant Job Agency' in Nawada district. This elaborate scheme involved luring people with the promise of a payout of Rs 13 lakh for impregnating women who were unable to conceive, a TOI report stated.
The gang, consisting of eight individuals, convinced unsuspecting individuals to register for the agency by paying a registration fee of Rs 799. Once registered, the participants were provided with photos of women to choose from, whom they would supposedly impregnate.
The gang requested a «security deposit» ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000, depending on the attractiveness of the chosen woman.
Despite the arrest of eight individuals involved in the operation, the mastermind behind the scheme, Munna Kumar, managed to evade capture. The police have seized nine mobile phones, two printers, and various data sheets from the accused.
The gang used WhatsApp to contact potential victims and exploited their desire to help women in distress who were unable to conceive from their partners.
