BlackRock, Columbia Threadneedle and Schroders have put limits on the amount large investors can withdraw from their UK property funds, as pension clients look to cash in their holdings in less-liquid assets.
The moves mean pension funds — many of them having requested to pull their money from these property funds months ago in the wake of volatile markets and rising interest rates — will have to wait longer to be paid.
