Ridge has been managing long/short mandates for the asset management giant since 2005, having joined the firm's UK equity team in 2004. In 2013, he took over as manager of the BLK UK Absolute Alpha fund. Ahead of his departure on 1 August, Ridge's portfolio management responsibilities for the firm's UK long/short equity strategies will transition to the emerging companies team, led by Dan Whitestone.
