Bloomsbury USA chief Adrienne Vaughan was killed on Thursday. Vaughan was on vacation with her family and went on an excursion to the scenic coast where her cruiser collided with a tourist boat, carrying a wedding banquet.

A local Italian media AGI has reported that Vaughan was taken to a pier where she was given medical care, but as her condition deteriorated, she was airlifted to a hospital in Salerno, where she was declared brought dead.

Media reports suggest that the American and German guests on boat Tortuga, which was taking them to the wedding, were brought to the shore and questioned. The Commander of the Tortuga was asked to take toxicological tests that proved negative. The captain of the Tortuga also suffered minor injuries, he vomited, and he gave the impression that he was drunk, reports said citing witnesses.
